Passionate about responsible investing, Laila leverages her extensive experience in the financial sector to implement strategies that reflect the best practices of a rapidly evolving industry.
Since 2004, Laila has worked in the financial community serving institutional and private clients. Prior to joining Millani, Laila held senior roles with some of Canada's most renowned investment managers including Letko Brosseau, Natcan, and Montrusco Bolton. Laila has also served investors and public companies in her role as Director, Institutional Equity Sales at Laurentian Bank Securities.
Throughout her career, Laila has led numerous responsible investment initiatives. She is particularly recognized for the development of insightful capital markets content, of annual sustainable investing reports as well as submissions to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Laila has also contributed to the development and launch of ESG investment strategies.
Laila is a graduate of HEC Montreal (MBA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from Concordia University. She also holds the CIMᴹᴰ Certified Investment Manager designation.
