Milla is a leading expert in the field of sustainability and sustainable investing, and she is known for anticipating trends.
Prior to founding Millani in 2008, Milla worked for more than 15 years in the institutional equity markets for major Canadian financial institutions such as RBC Dominion Securities and Scotia Capital, where she was consistently ranked as a top-tier salesperson. Throughout her career, she has worked very closely with senior management and investor relations teams of Canadian publicly-listed companies, as well as financial analysts and investment managers of several Quebec pension and investment funds. Milla then moved to the field of ESG integration and corporate sustainability where she was also actively involved in the development of sustainability strategy, management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting for a variety of Canadian organizations in her role as Deloitte's Leader – Sustainability, for the Quebec Region.
Milla is a board member of the Responsible Investment Association (RIA) and Co-President of the steering committee of the Finance and Sustainability Initiative of Finance Montréal. Milla was part of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board’s (SASB) Financial Sector review.
Milla holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Saint Vincent University as well as the Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) designation from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business.
Milla was recently honoured as top performer in the consulting category by receiving Canada’s Clean16 Award for 2017, and in October 2016 she delivered a compelling TEDx MontrealWomen talk on ESG Integration.
Erica applies her extensive breadth of knowledge to helping companies of all types and sizes implement sustainability practices.
Erica joined Millani in March 2017. She has more than six years of consulting experience in sustainability and responsible investment, in Canada and in Europe. After an internship with the World Resources Institute in Washington, D.C., Erica joined Deloitte’s Sustainability group before moving to France where she worked for GreenFlex, a leading sustainability consulting firm based in Paris. Having worked and supported companies of all sizes and sectors, from SMEs to institutional investors, Erica has developed a deep understanding of sustainable development and is able to bridge the gap between companies and investors on environmental, social and governance issues.
Erica holds a B.Com. in International Management with a minor in Environment from McGill University, as well as a Masters in Sustainable Development (MSc) and a Certificate in Energy & Finance from HEC Paris.
Erica also participated in the fifth cohort of L’Effet A, a professional development program helping women to reveal their full potential and achieve their ambitions.
Anne has several years of experience as a portfolio manager, which allows her to fully understand the issues surrounding the integration of ESG considerations and offer the most appropriate solutions to meet the needs of her clients.
Anne joined Millani in June 2019. She has more than twenty years of portfolio management experience with two major pension funds in Montreal. She has expertise in fixed income, foreign exchange, money market and derivatives management. More recently, her strong interest in sustainable finance has led her to work as a sales manager for Vigeo Eiris, an international ESG research and advisory firm. Her responsibilities have enabled her to raise awareness and support North American investors and corporates on the various aspects of responsible investment and sustainable development.
Anne holds an MA in Economics from Queen’s University, the CFA designation as well as the Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) designation from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business. She is also a graduate of the Collège des administrateurs de Sociétés (ASC) at Université Laval.
David's passion for service fuels his keen ability to listen to clients' needs, provide the right solutions, and build solid relationships.
David joined Millani in September 2018. He brings more than five years’ experience in finance and two years in responsible investment. After working in banking and discount brokerage services at Bank of Montreal and National Bank, David became a Responsible Investment Consultant at Vigeo Eiris, a global provider of ESG research and advisory services to investors and various organizations. More recently, David was mandated to analyze the ESG performance of the HEC Montréal Pension Plan portfolios.
David is a member of the Board of Directors of the Club d’investissement responsable du Québec and a member of the Concordia Sustainable Investing Project Advisory Committee. He is a past member of the PRI Québec Network's Events Committee and also a past member of the responsible supply chain committee for the RRSE.
David holds a B. Com. in Finance from UQÀM and a Master of Science (MSc) - Finance at HEC Montréal.
Charlotte leverages her expertise in sustainability and her experience in communications to create innovative strategies for clients.
Charlotte joined Millani in July 2019. She has extensive experience in non-financial corporate disclosures, allowing her to advise clients on how to effectively communicate their ESG issues. After working in strategy consulting for professional services for several years, she moved to RY, a leading communications agency in London, U.K. She specialized in stakeholder engagement and advised on non-financial disclosures and sustainability communications for British and European listed companies.
Charlotte holds a Master of Arts (Honors in Philosophy) from the University of Edinburgh and an MBA from HEC Montréal. Additionally, she holds a certificate in business from Columbia University in New York.

Anne-Josée leverages her tremendous experience to drive organizational success by creating and implementing corporate sustainability strategies.
Anne-Josée brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate social responsibility and public relations in publicly-traded companies, including: Noranda, Domtar, Merck Frosst, Paprican, Bombardier Aerospace and Aimia. Her vision of corporate sustainability has been shaped over the years by interacting with colleagues from all over the world and by her experience across various sectors: mining and metals, pulp and paper, aeronautics, pharmaceuticals, data-driven marketing, loyalty, philanthropy, professional services and economic development.
Anne-Josée holds a BBA and an MSc from HEC Montréal. She is accredited in Public Relations (Canadian Society for Public Relations) and holds the GRI certificate in G4 reporting guidelines. Additionally, she holds a certificate from Harvard Business School Executive Education, in Aligning Sustainability with Corporate Performance.
Robert Walker, BA, MA, MSc
Robert has served as a global leader in sustainable investing for almost 30 years and is responsible for many 'firsts' in the field.
Prior to joining Millani as an independent consultant, Robert spent nearly 20 years at NEI Investments where he built Canada's first comprehensive sustainable investing program including ESG evaluations, corporate engagement, proxy voting, public policy initiatives and white paper publications. Throughout his career he has helped blaze the trail for consensus-oriented initiatives working with company leaders, institutional investors, communities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to define risks, drive to agreement and implement solutions to material ESG challenges.
Robert was a Steering Committee member for the Goldcorp Human Rights Impact assessment of the Marlin Mine in Guatemala, working with general counsel of Goldcorp and head of Transparency International Guatemala to oversee the production of a human rights impact assessment. He was also the the Chair of the Boreal Leadership Council, leading a coalition of First Nations, environmental organizations, oil and gas, mining and forest products companies to consensus on publication of high-profile position papers supporting First Nations free, prior and informed consent.
Robert currently chairs the board of governors of the International Corporate Governance Network and the Nominating and Governance Committee of the International Institute for Sustainable Development.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Summa cum laude) in Political Science from McMaster University, and Masters degrees from Dalhousie University and the University of Toronto. He recently achieved the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Directors Education Program.
Stephen Kibsey, MBA, CFA
Stephen has been at the forefront of responsible investing for many years and brings more than 30 years’ experience as an investment professional.
Stephen worked at the Caisse Depot et Placement du Quebec for 21 years in various roles as an analyst, portfolio manager, business unit risk manager, and more recently as vice-president in the Investment Stewardship group. He also held the position of vice-president of Canadian equities during his ten years at Bimcor (BCE pension fund affiliate).
Stephen played a key part in the creation of the Sustainable Investment Professional Certificate at Concordia University (SIPC). He also lectures at the Goodman Institute on Risk Management, teaches Sustainability at McGill University, and contributes to the Sustainable Finance Institute at Queens University.
Stephen was a member of the Mining Association of Canada-Community of Interest Panel for 9 years and was one of the founding members of the Finance and Sustainability Initiative in Montreal. He has a seat on the Investment Committee and Risk Sub-Committee of the McConnell Foundation in Montreal.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiology, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining, an MBA and a CFA.
