The Great Canadian ESG Championship: State of the Industry Report
November 14th, 2022

Join us on November 14th as Nourhane ElGarhy, from Millani, presents a State of the Industry Report, including observations about the current state of ESG investing in Canada and globally, along with some calls to action for the investment sector.

Marc Gauthier, from Concordia University, will share his thoughts about the Championship and ESG investing from the perspective of an institutional investor and as a co-investor. Richard Muller of Impact United will speak to how the organization can support asset owners interested in responsible investing.  Eric St-Pierre, Executive Director of the Trottier Family Foundation will moderate a Q&A session.

Addressing the risk of forced labour in supply chains 
November 2nd, 2022 

Unanimously passing its second reading in the House of Commons, Bill S-211 could become law in Canada. If enacted, all companies listed on a Canadian stock exchange would need to publish an annual report on how they are reducing and preventing the risk of forced labour and child labour in its supply chains.

On Nov. 9, join Stephen A. Pike (Gowling WLG), Rosa van den Beemt (BMO Global Asset Management) and Charlotte Lombardi (Millani) for a discussion on what this legislation means for Canadian issuers and investors.
